In this training video, I’ll break down what I call my morning ritual for deep work.
It’s the perfect way to prepare your body + mind for those long-ass work days when you’ve got to be fully-focused + locked-in.
It only takes 15 minutes to do this routine, and the benefits will stay with you almost all day long.
The core elements of the morning ritual for deep work are:
A specific breathing exercise known as ‘breath-walking’ — designed to oxygenate your body and prepare your mind for a day of deep work + sharp thinking.
A gratitude element to get your brain to release serotonin + dopamine — those “feel-good” chemicals that keep you motivated and happy. (FYI: Genuine gratitude is also one of the best ways to deal with stress and overwhelm.)
A physical element (you walk while you do it) to wake your body up and get the blood flowing every morning.
A visualization element that’ll help you set the stage for a successful day ahead—before it even starts.
