What Are You The Best At?
Why most of us have no idea how to answer that question—and a 3-day course to figure it out
Hey Gents,
I have this thing I do when I’m out at bars or restaurants. When someone walks in, I’ll turn to them and ask something completely absurd like:
“Hey, are you here for the charcuterie contest?”
Or: “Did you sign up for the arm wrestling competition?”
They always laugh. Because it’s ridiculous. There’s no contest. There’s no competition.
But here’s what I started thinking about: What if there was?
Would they want to win? Could they? And more importantly—would they even know if they were good at it until someone challenged them?
Most people have no idea what they’re actually the best at. Not because they’re not great at things, but because no one ever asks.
We spend our whole lives being modest. Humble. Not wanting to brag or seem arrogant. So we downplay what we’re legitimately world-class at.
But here’s the thing: You ARE the best at something. Multiple things, actually.
Maybe it’s big. Maybe you’re the best at talking to strangers (that’s mine). Maybe you’re the best at making people feel comfortable in awkward situations. Maybe you’re the best listener in any room you walk into.
Or maybe it’s smaller. Maybe you make the best grilled cheese. Maybe you’re undefeated at matching hats to sneakers. Maybe you give the best high-fives. Maybe your chicken francese is actually legendary.
Both matter. Both are worth claiming.
Because when you know what you’re the best at—when you can actually say it out loud without apologizing—you start building your own personal zeitgeist. You start showing up differently. You stop waiting for permission to be great at your thing.
So I’m asking you: What are you the best at?
I’ve put together a 3-day course to help you figure it out. Not in some fake, affirmation-y way. In a real, specific, “oh shit, I actually am really good at that” kind of way.
Day 1: You’ll claim the big thing—your actual superpower Day 2: You’ll discover all the smaller things you’re the best at across different life areas Day 3: You’ll pick one of three moves and actually DO something with it.
Ready to figure out what you’re the best at? The full course is below.
Day 1: The Big Claim
Today you’re figuring out what you’re genuinely world-class at. Not what you’re “pretty good” at. Not what you’re “working on.” What you’re THE BEST at. This might feel uncomfortable. Good. That means you’re doing it right.
